About Course

Welcome to Our Free Freehand Painting Course!

Course Objective

Chinese Freehand Painting is celebrated worldwide for its expressive brushwork and fluid emotional depth. This painting style allows us to break free from the rules of the physical world and create our own—a truly limitless space for artistic expression. Through learning Freehand Painting, we cultivate keen observation skills, intuitively capturing and expressing the essence of an object. The simplicity of its brushstrokes carries profound philosophical meaning, reflecting balance, spontaneity, and harmony with nature.

In this course, we will focus on painting daffodil flowers and a butterfly.

  • Daffodil flowers, known in China as the “Water Fairy”, were introduced from Italy during the Tang Dynasty and have been cherished for over a thousand years. Today, they are listed among China’s ten most famous flowers, symbolizing absolute love.

  • Butterflies, frequently seen in Chinese painting, serve as beautiful complementary elements, adding movement and symbolism to compositions.
